1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the KGP Placement Form Tracker browser extension ("the Extension") and the licensing and payment service that supports its PRO features ("the Service").
By installing, accessing or using the Extension, or by purchasing PRO, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the Extension.
2. About the Service
The Extension is a browser extension designed to help users organise and track placement and internship notices, deadlines and relevant application links. It reads notices from the IIT Kharagpur ERP notice board using your existing browser session and presents them in a consolidated view.
3. Independent Project
KGP Placement Form Tracker is an independent software project. It is not an official IIT Kharagpur service, website, application, or institute-endorsed product, and it is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by IIT Kharagpur.
References to IIT Kharagpur, its ERP, and its notice board are made only to describe the environment in which the Extension is intended to operate. All trademarks and institutional names remain the property of their respective owners.
4. Eligibility
You must be capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Service or purchase PRO. If you are below the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
5. Licence to Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Extension for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, rent or lease the Extension or any part of it;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the Extension, except to the extent that such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- circumvent, disable, or attempt to defeat the PRO licensing mechanism, including by forging entitlement tokens, sharing licence credentials, or tampering with local storage;
- use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law, or any rule or policy governing your use of institutional systems;
- use automated means to access the Service in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- use the Service to harass, deceive, or harm any person, or to gain an unfair advantage in any recruitment process.
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these restrictions have been breached.
7. Your ERP Access and Responsibilities
The Extension does not request, receive or store your IIT KGP ERP username or password. It operates using the browser session you have already established.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your own ERP account, email account, and browser, and for complying with all rules, policies and terms that govern your use of institutional systems. You must not use the Extension in any way that breaches those rules.
8. Notice Information and Accuracy
The Extension automatically extracts information from available ERP notices, including company names, notice subjects, deadlines and application links.
This extraction is automated and may be incomplete or inaccurate. A notice may fail to be detected, a deadline may be parsed incorrectly, a link may be missing or wrong, or the ERP may change its format without notice.
You must always verify every deadline, eligibility condition, instruction and link against the official IIT Kharagpur ERP notice and the official application page before relying on it or acting on it. The Extension is an organisational aid, not an authoritative source.
9. No Automatic Application Submission
The Extension does not submit placement or internship applications on your behalf, and does not act as your agent in any application process. You remain solely responsible for reviewing requirements and for completing and submitting your own applications through the applicable official process.
10. Free and PRO Features
The Extension provides basic functionality at no cost. Additional functionality is available through PRO.
PRO currently includes:
- live time remaining for deadlines;
- application and form links;
- done / checkbox tracking.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. We do not guarantee that any particular feature will remain available indefinitely.
11. Price and In-App Purchase
PRO is offered as a one-time in-app purchase of ₹27 (Indian Rupees twenty-seven). It is not a subscription, and it does not renew automatically. No recurring charge is created by this purchase.
The price displayed to you at checkout is the price that applies to your transaction. We may change the price for future purchases at any time; a change will not affect a purchase already completed.
The purchase unlocks PRO for the licence associated with your purchase, subject to the installation limits in Section 13.
12. Payments
Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider (currently Cashfree). Payment authentication is performed by your bank or payment application.
We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, net-banking password, or other payment credentials. We receive only confirmation that the payment succeeded, together with transaction metadata such as the order reference and amount.
Your use of the payment provider's services may also be subject to that provider's own terms and policies.
13. Refunds
All purchases of PRO are final and non-refundable.
PRO is a digital feature that is made available to you immediately upon successful payment confirmation. Because access is delivered instantly and cannot be returned, we do not offer refunds, cancellations, or exchanges once a purchase is complete.
This includes, without limitation, cases where you decide not to use PRO, use it less than expected, or no longer need it. Please review the PRO features carefully before purchasing.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any right you may have under applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
14. PRO Licence, Installations and Recovery
A PRO purchase is associated with the email address you provide at checkout, and is used for licence management and recovery.
A licence may be activated on more than one browser installation, up to the technical limit applicable to the licence, which is currently five. We may manage installation associations to prevent excessive or unauthorised use.
To restore PRO on another browser or installation, you may be required to verify that you control the email address associated with the licence by entering a one-time code sent to that address.
You are responsible for keeping access to that email address. If you lose access to it, we may be unable to restore your PRO licence.
15. Service Availability and Changes
The Service may be unavailable from time to time because of browser updates, changes to the IIT Kharagpur ERP, network conditions, payment-provider outages, maintenance, or other technical circumstances.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any feature of it at any time. Where we discontinue the Service entirely, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice on this site.
16. Third-Party Services
Certain functionality depends on third-party providers, including payment processing and email verification services. Those services are subject to their own terms, policies, availability and technical limitations. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or availability of third-party providers.
17. Intellectual Property
The Extension, its source code, design, text and associated materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited licence to use the Extension; they do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.
Notice content, company names, and third-party marks remain the property of their respective owners. We claim no rights over them.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any notice, deadline, link or other information it presents will be complete or accurate.
You should not rely on the Extension as your sole source of information about any deadline or opportunity.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of opportunity, loss of employment or internship prospects, loss of data, loss of profits, or missed deadlines, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you actually paid us for PRO in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
20. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
21. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, including any attempt to circumvent the PRO licensing mechanism or to abuse the Service.
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the Extension. Sections concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law survive termination.
22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions that apply in your place of residence, the courts having jurisdiction over the place where the Service is operated shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
24. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
25. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refunds & Cancellations policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service, and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings on the same subject.
